Nairana Study Centre
Nairana Study Centre is a purpose-built educational centre for high school boys from years 7-12. It offers several study areas, a chapel, meeting rooms, a large workshop and indoor sports space.
For boys in years 7 and 8, Nairana operates Frontier Club, a students’ activities club. The club meets twice a week during school term. On one afternoon, activities as diverse as surf-board building and video production are offered. On another afternoon, supervised study sessions and short tutorials are run. During school holidays, camps are organized to the Blue Mountains and ski fields.
For boys, in years 9 and above, Nairana Study Centre offer a program of academic and cultural activities throughout the year. Each weekday afternoon, boys are welcome to visit Nairana after school for supervised study. They can also take advantage of short courses on character development and Christian virtues. Residential staff, including a Catholic Chaplain, are available to provide mentoring to students.
Other programs offered include Duke of Edinburgh award courses and Toastmasters public speaking.
For years 10 and 11 students, Nairana offers the Watershed Program, a two-year program covering classical literature, principles of leadership and the application of new technologies.
